Tri It Now presents the TIN Tri Point Series, 2023
A point system will be used to award finishers within each age group in the triathlon category in each of the four series races. Points will be accumulated throughout the season. Best 3 (out of the 4) race point totals will be added together (and any additional race points will be dropped). Each competitor's 3-race point total determines final series rankings. Competitors must finish at least three (3) races in the series to be eligible for awards. In case of a tie in point totals, the winner will be determined based on the highest place earned in any single race of the series. Secondary tie breaker will be based on competitors' places earned in their 3 best races PLUS points earned in any other series races they completed. Third tie breaker will be the points earned in the last series race each completed. In each race, points will be awarded to all finishers in each age group as follows:
At the end of the season, series awards will be presented to: 1. overall Point Series leaders (top 2 point totals from the individuals' best 3 race finishes based on place in age group for each race) 2. age group point total winners, male and female (awards based on the point totals from the individuals' best 3 series races finished)
Everyone who completes the
triathlon in any of the series races earns series points. Each race in the series may be entered individually according to the individual race entry deadlines
