This is a mini-triathlon, which includes very short distances in each of the 3 sports (click on each for description). 
These distances are a little over 1/2 of an average sprint triathlon:

400 yard swim (in a pool)
8 mile bike ride
(directions and map posted)
1.8 mile run (directions and map posted)
all distances are approximate

This race is a great place to try a triathlon so that you can learn first-hand just how much fun it is to participate in multi-sport events! 
Anyone age 10 through adult is welcome to participate. Chip timing. Snacks, awards ceremony (including door prizes),
and massage following the race.  T-shirts to all entrants.

Award Categories (male and female):  First 3 places overall,
10-12, 13-15, 16-19 &
Five year age-groups from 20 to 60+
ALSO:   Open Division for Physically Challenged*

Application Form and USAT waiver
(USAT waiver MUST accompany application)
(Adobe Acrobat Reader required for application form)

Mail-in entries must be postmarked by August 1, 2009!

 

Entry fee:  $52 through May 9, 2009
$57 May 10 to July 9, 2009
$62 July 9 to August 5, 2009
(with proof of USAT Annual Membership or add $10 one-day USAT license fee)

For ages 17 & under: 
USAT Annual Youth Membership ($5) is required for registration
